Tom Dyer and Jay du Toit, our stars from the London school, could not stay away from our largest school ever and came down to check out our bartending school on Kos. The situation in Bangkok

Foreign Office still advises against non-essential travel to the city of Bangkok, but it is not considered dangerous to stopover at Bangkok airport for onward travel to other places in Thailand. Other parts of the country is calm and tourists move freely along the tourist areas.We are positive about the future and do not think the demonstrations will effect our courses next autumn. The crisis in Greece

The ongoing crisis in Greece does not affect the EBS course start on Monday 10 / 5. The disturbance seems to be centered at a certain part of Athens and our teachers and students on site at Kos are not effected by them. According to Stockholm Arlanda airport the flights will go as usual to Greece, despite the strike that was mentioned in the newspapers. 13 min into the second section of Hakan's Bar, we got a guided tour through the new European Bartender School Center in Phuket. Patrik Eriksson, one of our head teachers, showed us the bar stations, talked about the education and gave us a demonstration of Flair. We also got to see the lounge bar, which is part of the school. EBS opens in the U.S.!

European Bartender School has finally been given clearance by the Trade Council to establish their operations in the United States. We have since early 2009 worked together with the necessary authorities to enable the launch of the Bartender School in America. Our first courses will start at the end of the year 2010 in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Cancun and Las Vegas. The courses will be for Americans and conducted in English initially. EBS is now moving their administrative headquarters and training local to Luntmakargatan in central Stockholm. Here we separate classrooms, flairing stations, free pour stations and 11 bar stations. European Bartending School really won the grand slam in SBG's cocktail contest, this year's bartender 2009. Johannes Kinch (teacher) came in first place in the senior class for the 5th consecutive year and Ludvig Eriksson (student) came in second place in junior class.
