Jay Du Toit
Hailing from TGI Fridays, Jay has taken on board all the tests, training and standards of service to make his mark as a world class bartender. He has dedicated the past 9 years to flair, competing, performing and training around the globe. Having competed in over 50 competition in over 20 countries he has won more than 15 flair comps, regularly ranked amongst the top names in the industry and has tended bars on 6 continents.
His high profile flair character has also leaked into the commercial and entertainment sectors. In 2007, Jay was appointed the face of Lynx in their, ‘Lynx 3: it’s good to mix things up’ campaign. He also won 3rd spot in the 2006 talent show ‘Let me entertain you’. He has performed in various other TV shows worldwide and wowed numerous celebrities with his fairing talents. He has also created his own flair travelling diary entitled ’80 stalls around the world’. This series of filming documents Jay performing flair moves in over 20 countries.
Jay has now taken a step off of the fair stage and now works a supporting role harnessing fresh talent. Jay worked for 3 years as the event manager of the world famous Roadhouse World Flair challenge. Bringing in new ideas and competitors from around the world. As a global ambassador of the world flair association (WFA), Jay aims to take EBS to new highs in London. It is his goal to hep bartenders realise their full potential and follow their dreams just like he did.
