Is the flight ticket included in the price?
No, it is not, you book the ticket separately. Please see more information on accommodation / travel tab for our travel tips.
How many hours a day will I be in class?
The standard times are Monday - Friday 09:00 - 15:00. Although times may vary in some places. In these cases you will get a schedule with your times.
What requirements do I have to fulfil?
Our only requirement is that you are or will turn 18 years old during the course.
Is it easy to get a job after the course?
The European Bartenderschool was founded in 1999 and is now a strong internationally known brand representing seriousness and knowledge. Each year we get many enquires from bar owners that needs a bartender to start working for them. But in the end it is offcourse up to you to apply for jobs, but we always do our best to point you in the right direction. 85% of all our students gets a job after their course.
How many drinks will I learn?
All course places follow the same courseplan. Small changes may occur depending on the course country. However you will learn a 100 internationally known drinks.
How many drinks will I make each day?
Our goal is for you to mix as many drinks as possible every day, we believe that practice makes perfect. At the end of the course you will mix up to 80 drinks per day. Everything to learn the technique, efficiency and speed you will need to possess in order to work behind the bar.
How do I register for school?
You go to the tab "book" and, where you select the place and the date you want to go apply for. You don´t need any bartender experience to enter EBS bartender training. When you sign up on our website, you will receive an e-mail confirming your reservation and instructions on how to go about paying.
What is the age limit on the education?
You must be 18 years old, or turn 18 during the course to attend the EBS bartender training.
Where can I get information about dates, addresses to the school and the hotel?
30 days before departure we will send you an e-mail with all the information you need to start the course. You can also pre-book food packages, kits, etc..
Is it possible to change the date or location of my education?
If you notify us more than 30 days before the start of the course, you will be able to move the course to another date and another location, within one year from your original course date.
What happens if I get sick before school starts?
If you have signed a cancellation insurance with us (GBP 25), you can cancel the course up until the course starts with a valid certificate of illness from a licensed physician. This also applies if someone in your family should get sick. If you have not taken out trip cancellation insurance through us, you should contact your own insurance company.
If I cancel less than 30 days before the course start?
If you cancel less than 30 days before the course begins, and you do not have the cancellation insurance and a valid medical certificate, you will lose your deposit. Be sure to let us know a minimum of 30 days before the course starts if you can not participate.
If I go together with a friend, is it possible to share rooms?
We always try to do the best for you and your friends! The sooner you and your friends register, the bigger chance we have to accommodate your request. We nearly always manage to fulfil everyone´s wishes regarding accommodation. In order for us to know who you want to live with, write down your friends´ names when registering.
How do I make the final payment at certain locations?
If you do not want to bring cash on the trip, we recommend that you bring an international debit card such as VISA or MasterCard, which operate both in restaurants and ATMs worldwide.
When will I receive confirmation that you received my payment?
Within four working days, from the day you made your payment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail sent to the e-mail address you provided when booking. If you have not received a confirmation e-mail after four working days, e-mail a copy of your payment receipt, or if you made a payment through your online bank, make a screen shot of it, and send to info@bartenderskolan.com.
Are there cooking facilities at the hotels?
It varies from country to country. Go to the tab Accommodation / Travel and select the city you are interested in. Find out about the accommodation for your destination.
Do I get my deposit back if I can not go on the course I signed up for?
Yes and no. Yes, if you have chosen to sign a trip cancellation insurance and have a valid reason covered by the insurance, such as disease or illness in the family. Otherwise, you must notify us within 30 days before the course starts, that you are unable to participate. Then you can have your deposit credited with us and take a different course, any place and any start date within 12 months from the original start date for the course you were registered on. If you notify us later than 30 days before the course starts and do not have a valid certification, covered by the cancellation insurance, you lose your deposit.
Can I bring my laptop on the road and is there Wifi?
You can of course bring your laptop in hand luggage or in any other way you see fit. Make sure you have insurance to cover any accidents. Most likely, your home insurance covers any damage. Wifi is available at most training centres, either at school or at one of our partners. We do not recommend that you use your mobile broadband abroad, as this can cause extremely high bills.
Is it possible to sign up for a course that starts in the near future?
You register as usual under the tab "book". When you receive the e-mail registration with payment information, you pay both deposits at the same time, as soon as you can. You can register for a course as long as there are places left on the website.
Will EBS help me find work after the course?
Of course, we will use our knowledge and our network of contacts to help you as much as we can, but the biggest part lies with yourself. We can help you find the right place, but you apply for the jobs on your own. Our recommendation is that you write a CV and include it together with your certificate from the EBS. Then call or visit the restaurants, bars and clubs you want to work at. We also get some requests about staff for various events throughout Sweden, if you are interested in offers for these jobs, send an e-mail to info@bartenderskolan.com and write your name, which course you attended and in which city you can and would like to work in.
