What can you see and do in Barcelona?

Barcelona has something for everyone; it’s no wonder that it’s one of the most popular cities in Europe! The city itself offers great shopping, stunning parks, a beautiful beach and countless spots for delicious food and drinks. So after strolling down the colourful La Rambla, you can gaze in awe at Gaudi’s masterpieces or climb up the magical Montjuïic. After the sun sets, it’s time to go and party in some of Europe’s best bars and clubs.

After hours activities

We know how important hands-on experience is to make you 100% prepared for your bartending career. That’s why the 3rd Friday of the course we organize a Bar Simulation at TOC Hostel: we select 1-2 students per course (ENG/FR/IT/SP) to jump behind the bar and work there for one night. Are you ready for the challenge?

Un mojito, por favor! Our famous bar crawl is held during the first week of the course. We go bar-hopping around the best places in Barcelona, it’s the perfect way to get to grips with Barcelona’s amazing night life and get to know the other students.

Inspiration can be found in the most surprising places…like in a movie night? You will get to choose between Hey Bartender, a documentary about two guys who try to achieve their dreams through bartending or the most famous bartending film, Cocktail. A movie about Brian Flanagan (Tom Cruise) who moves to New York to make it big, in order to make his living he starts to work as a bartender and becomes the best around.

Is there any better way to celebrate graduation than over a fantastic meal on the beautiful beach of Barceloneta? This will happen on the last Thursday of the course and after the meal we will go out together to one of the biggest night clubs in the area. Guaranteed be an unforgettable evening!

Get on board and have some fun! In the summertime we will take a trip to Costa Caribe Waterpark, so be ready to jump in your dingy and float around the lazy river or for the braver souls, shoot down the water rapids! Then in the winter months, be prepared to face your fears in roller coaster filled theme park, Portaventura. In any case, be ready to have a blast!

Whenever a local event is being organised, #EBSBarcelona is always the first to join in! The city and the surrounding areas have such much to offer, from attending FC Barcelona football matches, going to carnival in Sitges, running with the bulls in Pamplona, a tomatina fight in Valencia, the Barcelona Holi Colour Festival and Sonar music festival. There is always something to do in Barcelona!

The third week of the course is when we shake up our activities! That’s why we plan a special class: we go down to the beach for some fresh sea air! We divide into groups and play some volleyball and do flair training. On colder days, we’ll have an in-house flair battle in EBS style!

The best way to fully experience in Barcelona is by skating around. During the colder months we take our students to Camp Nou for a fun winter event, a day of ice skating in one of the biggest skating rinks in the city. And don’t forget that you’ll be in the skating capital of Europe: skateboards, longboards or rollerblades, you just need to choose your favourite and grind around the city!
