As celebrity spirits go, there's a lot out there to discover. Some of it has blessed us and some of it could really use a blessing (gross). But if it's one thing that we can thank the inflated egos of celebrities for, its for providing us with either a good drink or good laugh!

Here's our top 9 celebrities with alcohol brands...

1. Prospero Tequila - Rita Ora

3 shots of reposado tequila with lime

First up on our list of top celebrity spirits is Prospero Tequila and be assured that it will never let you down! The tequila was designed by Stella Anguiano, who is one of the first female tequila distillers in Mexico. Impressive, no?

The tequila has a very smooth and balanced finish to it. This isn't your cheap corner shop tequila. Every part of the product is handcrafted; whether that be the alcohol itself or the elegant design of the bottle. Even the illustration is beautifully designed! Go ahead and drink up the passion in this tequila brand...

2. Casamigos Tequila - George Clooney

Another Academy Award winner attached to a major booze line, George Clooney sold his tequila company Casamigos Tequila – a joint partnership with businessman Rande Gerber and property developer Mike Meldman – for a reported in $1 billion in June 2017.

The three had originally tossed around the idea of a creating a tequila that wouldn’t cause a hangover to enjoy on their vacations spent in Mexico. Little did they know that their humble commission of small-batch tequila would prove so popular among their friends that it would inspire them to launch it as an international brand in 2013 and be sold for an incredible billion dollars within four years!

3. The Diddy Ciroc - Diddy

Rapper Diddy (real name Sean Combs) has become synonymous with his alcohol brands in recent years. Diddy took on all marketing responsibilities for struggling French vodka brand CIROC (manufactured by Diageo) back in 2007. That year the vodka was only shifting around 40k units per year, but by 2012 an incredible 2.1 million units were sold.

Diddy jokingly refers to himself as ‘Ciroc Obama’ and in 2014 announced a new Dieageo product – DeLeon tequila – for which he owns 50% of. Watch this space…

4. Crystal Head Vodka - Dan Aykroyd’s

Ghostbusters’ star and comedian Dan Aykroyd has his own vodka – Crystal Head. Packaged in as the name suggests, a glass skull shaped bottle, it was first launched in 2007.

Boasting a quadruple-distillation process and being filtered an incredible seven times with three of the filtrations containing diamond crystals, this may just be one of the world’s most unique vodkas currently on the market.

And its fancy bottle is designed by Aykroyd’s business partner John Alexander, who’s an award winning American painter. Aykroyd seems to have put his heart and soul into the brand, and since 2013 claims to spend at least a third of his time on the road promoting the brand. Wow!

5. Dreaming Tree Wine - Dave Matthews

Dave Matthews, of the Dave Matthews Band, launched his own line of wines in 2011 called ‘Dreaming Tree.’ Made in collaboration with Sonoma County winemaker Sean McKenzie, it is named after the Dave Matthew Band ‘The Dreaming Tree’ track.

The wine has gone on to win multiple awards, and the brand now features five wines: a crushed red blend, a chardonnay, a pinot noir, a cabernet sauvignon and a sauvignon blanc. Sustainability is a huge part of their brand, with each label made from 100% recycled paper and bottles are made lighter than average, taking less fuel to get from vineyard to table.

6. Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey - Conor McGregor

This one's not exactly a top brand of whiskey, however we couldn't leave this one out. It's Conor McGregor!

The taste is not up there with the best, but there's a good story about how Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey was created. Conor was famed for 'bigging up' his whiskey brand during press conferences, back as an MMA fighter. Just one thing, though. He never had a whiskey brand.

Eventually, he did a deal to make an Irish whiskey and sold for $600 million to Proximo Spirits. Definitely not a fair deal in our books!

7. Heaven's Door Whiskey - Bob Dylan

A Tennessee Bourbon made with the help of legendary singer Bob Dylan, this whiskey isn't just any old whiskey, it's award winning. Heaven's Door Whiskey make a whole host of different styles like straight rye whiskey and other quality Tennessee Bourbons. However, this Bob Dylan mix is undoubtedly their most famous creation, aged in Bourbon barrels for our pleasure!

Bob may not say much about his whiskey, but we'll say it for him that it's one of the best celebrity spirits on this list.

8. 901 Tequila - Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake transitioned from being in one of the biggest boybands of all time (N*Sync) to one of the most successful solo artists of all time – and now he’s added tequila creator to his many achievements. In 2009 he launched his own tequila and then partnered with established tequila brand Sauza to re-launch it in 2014, calling it Sauza 901 – named after Justin’s hometown post code of Memphis, Tennessee.

Sauza 901 is a triple-distilled, 80-proof agave-based tequila and can regularly be seen featured on Justin’s social media posts. He even downed shots of it and playing ‘drunk golf’ with Jonathan Ross on The Jonathan Ross Show.

9. CALIROSA Tequila - Adam Levine & Behati Prinsloo

Two shots of tequila with lemon and salt

Last up on our list, is yet another tequila brand (sorry, not sorry). This one's by former Maroon 5 front, Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo, his partner! Appropriately named 'CALIROSA' due to its origin and colour, it's a favourite of mums everywhere. CALIROSA Tequila and Adam aren't too dissimilar in that regard.

This rose tequila finds itself sitting in a bottle, similar to that of a Champagne bottle. However, this isn't gonna fizz up your life. Its pink colour comes from its time spent in red wine barrels during maturation.

So, that's our list of celebrity owned alcohol brands. The good. The bad. And the ugly. We never promised they'd all taste amazing...
