4. Lemon Drop

Lemon Drop

Now, onto a little classic shot. It's not strictly for the season, however it's such a nice shot, we'd be humbugs not to include it. If you're a fan of sweet lemony flavours, or limoncello, then you'll definitely love a Lemon Drop. Finish off the shot with a sugar-coated lemon, as a sweet alternative to a tequila shot.

If you're a Christmas fanatic, we don't think you'll really care about the taste. It's all in the look, remember!

6. Christmas pudding shot

Infused vodka shots

Disclaimer alert, this Christmas pudding shot recipe is not exactly a shot.

It's actually one of our infused vodka recipes - but it's an absolute winner! It's essentially a Christmas pudding within a vodka bottle where the spicy, citrus notes of the ingredients balance themselves well with the harsher vodka tones. Simply pour into a shot glass and you're good to go.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (with this delicious vodka recipe)!

7. Mini Eggnog

There's nothing that says Christmas more than a good ol' Eggnog. But these eggy boys can be a little too much to drink sometimes.

Maybe it's the creaminess, the thickness or it's just bit too eggnogy? We understand. To solve this, we think a Mini Eggnog is much better. Take a classic Eggnog recipe and add a splash of brandy, to make it go down easier. Even if you're not an Eggnog fan, this is a recipe for everyone to enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 10ml brandy
  • 40ml Eggnog

Method:

  • Step 1 - Pour the brandy into a shot glass.
  • Step 2 - Gently pour in the Eggnog. Use a spoon to pour the Eggnog into the glass, forcing the brandy to sit on top of it.
  • Step 3 - Before shooting your Mini Eggnog, stir it up and mix the layers.

8. B52

Bartender layering a B52 cocktail shot

Christmas shot drinks recipes don't get anymore festive than this.

We joke, of course. The B52 is more of a party shot than anything else, but who said that doesn't count?

Just like with the Santa shot, this will require your best layering bar skills. Shoddy work just won't do here. A firm hand is needed, as well as a firm throat. Get the holiday party shimmying with some B52s.

Ingredients:

  • 20ml Kahlua
  • 20ml Baileys (Irish cream)
  • 20ml Cointreau

Method:

  • Step 1 - Starting with Kahlua and ending with Cointreau, layer the ingredients in order into the shot glass. This can be done by using a bar spoon and pouring the liquid onto the spoon head to sit gently on top of the layer below.

9. Mini Cosmopolitan

Who says we can't turn a classic cocktail recipe into an amazing Christmas shot recipe? No one! So, let's introduce the Mini Cosmo to you guys. Inspired by the original Cosmopolitan recipe, we challenge anyone to tell us this isn't a Christmassy drink.

We've added a little extra to this recipe, however, with a bit of sugar rimming. By using an orangey sugar, drinkers will enjoy a zesty-yet-sweet blast before receiving the taste of cranberries and vodka. Delightful!

Ingredients:

  • 40ml citron vodka
  • 20ml Cointreau
  • 30ml cranberry juice
  • 10ml fresh lime juice
