Why should you choose Cape Town?

Cape Town is regularly voted as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and with good reason. With an endless number of activities, mouth-watering food and friendly locals, you’ll fall in love with the city in no time.

Go full moon hiking up Table Mountain, surfing in Muizenberg, or skydiving just outside the city for a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Not into adrenaline rushes? Grab a glass of wine straight from the vineyard or a spirit on the rocks from a local distillery like Van Ryn’s. The last thing on your Cape Town list has to be a safari, it’s something you’ll never forget.

After-hours activities

EBS Cape Town will invite industry professionals/ambassadors from renowned spirit brands such as Absolut, Havana Club and Beefeater to the school. They will give you masterclasses about their selected drinks. Masterclasses may vary from course to course.

We will host an industry night at EBS for South Africa’s local bar owners, professionals and enthusiasts. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to meet others in the industry and potentially land yourself a job for after the course.

On the first Friday of the course, you and your new course mates will go out and get to grips with the local bar scene down Cape Town’s hippest street, Bree Street! This is a brilliant opportunity for you to get to know all the other EBS students and instructors.

You will go on a guided tour of one of South Africa’s brandy or gin distilleries, depending on the time of year.

Some of Cape Town’s top bartenders will teach you about the history of cocktails in South Africa and what’s currently hot in the area, from drinks to techniques!

We will head to one of the many microbreweries around town or to the Beerhouse which contains hundreds of local & international beer brands.

We will look around the town for local ingredients, and discuss how to incorporate them into different cocktails back at the school.

We will have a few cocktails on the sandy beaches of Camps Bay whilst the sun sets, practicing your newly found flair skills.
